Vegetables Respond To Spoken Commands
People always reckon talking to plants help them grow. But that really has nothing to do with this...
A British led research team has looked at the brainwave patterns of patients in persistent vegetative states while they were given a verbal command, and compared it to people who were awake. The results are really surprising. The coma patients had exactly the same brain activity as alert people.
I wonder what the response would be in a person without the mental capacity to understand the command? Or if the result would be the same with or without and actual command (would "Hi" or "Bananas" illicit similar results).
