Do we get gifts on New Year's Day?

I just found out that every Calvin & Hobbes ever made (well, syndicated) is now available in a big three volume hardcover set.

As for my New Year's I'm working (big surprise). It is a wedding, so maybe I will finish before midnight - then I have three choices: hang at the resort and enjoy their beach pool party; go to the Strand, the beachfront and the Coast in Yeppoon; or head up to Rocky's Quay St street party, which is bound to be totally packed with boozed up bodies (though so will the other places).
